MCMILLANCO serves many EV and e-Mobility markets. We offer fully integrated services for product concept, design, and engineering, to custom converting, manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse management.
Our services support a range of electrified transportation applications including vehicle safety, management of heat and electricity generated in battery cells and battery packs, and controlling environmental contaminants, vibration, and noise.
Converting is the process of cutting and laminating thin sheets of material into predetermined shapes through die cutting or kiss cutting. A specialized and fully automated machine feeds the material from sheets or rolls as a die or other cutting tool stamps or cuts the shapes. Pieces are separated from the scrap material and then dispensed.
Many materials in different widths and thicknesses are compatible with laminating and converting operations. Multi-layer assemblies can be manufactured to create a custom component or product. As a result it is an excellent option for many EV, battery, and e-Mobility applications. Common materials include, but are not limited to:
Converting is useful in manufacturing products and parts used in thermal management and thermal runaway control. Our equipment can also apply coatings and laminates to create multi-layer material for use with battery cells, modules, and packs. We emphasize efficient design and layout to minimize scrap or wasted material. Some sample applications include:
Our warehousing and distribution services help you streamline operations. If assembly, packaging, and product preparation consume your limited staff time and physical space, we can help you reclaim them.
Assembly. Our team will assemble your components into a finished product or subassembly. Additional contract packaging and converting services are also available to help prepare your products for warehousing and distribution to OEMs, vehicle dealerships, and factories.
Kitting. We can pack components that are used or sold together such as specialized tapes and labels or instruction cards, gaskets and installation prep materials, battery management system (BMS) electrical components, or even pre-counted/pre-measured sets of fasteners or other components.
Copacking and fulfillment. We will pack your finished products or completed kits into final packaging, label them, and prepare them for shipping.
Vendor managed inventory (VMI). We’ll create a cost-effective plan for ordering and stocking supplies and parts based on your inventory and distribution data. We can also use your historical data, current needs, and future goals to make accurate projections for your inventory needs.
MCMILLANCO maintains a carefully vetted global network of manufacturing partners that can help bridge gaps in your manufacturing capabilities. As your contract manufacturer, we will connect you to the processes and finishing operations you can’t do in-house.
Or, we’ll extend your in-house capabilities for manufacturing when you need to scale production up rapidly or create small batches on a tight deadline.
Our designers and engineers bring their design for manufacturing (DFM) experience to your project for processes including:
With MCMILLANCO as your contract manufacturer, you can trust that parts and components will meet your specifications and quality requirements. Some examples include components for electrified cars, trucks, buses, scooters, and bicycles including:
